The Southern Maryland Center for Family Advocacy is a 501 (c) 3 (nonprofit) organization that has been providing legal representation and advocacy to victims of domestic violence in Southern Maryland for 35 years. Survivors of domestic violence in Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's Counties are provided with access to highly-trained, experienced attorneys who specialize in providing representation in Protective Order hearings and related legal matters, as well as in family law cases. Court advocates provide safety planning, assistance to survivors who are filing for Protective Orders, court accompaniment, lethality assessment, assisted referral to other services such as shelter, counseling and other social services, and ongoing follow-up and support during the term of the Protective Order. Your donation is 100% tax deductible, and every dollar donated goes directly to victim services. When you donate to the Center, you are helping to ensure that victims' most basic legal rights are protected.
